How to put your own icon so that it shows up in the tabs on your user's browser

These things. I didn't know what they were called. The little icons on the tabs in safari or Internet Explorer or Google Chrome? I think they're called favicons.

There are probably a bunch of ways to do it. Here's one easy way to make one and add it to your Weebly site or Blogger blog

How to give your tabs an icon

1. go to favicon.com. Draw your icon.

2. Or you can search for Favicons other people have made. Here I'm searching for cats as an example. I'm going to draw my own, though for this example.

3. Now that I've drawn my icon, I download it. (Look to the bottom of the screen shot for "Download Favicon."

4. I'm really new to Macs and it's always a mystery where it's going to put a download and what it's going to call it. This showed up at the bottom of my browser window. The icon was named favicon and it was in my download folder.

Weebly:

To put it on my site that's hosted by Weebly, I went over to Weebly.com, edited my site, edited the setting and uploaded the favicon.

Blogger:

On blogger, I just went to my blog and clicked on layout. See below.

That's it. Problem solved.
